How to Get Your Digital Priority Pass | Carrying Your Membership Card on Your Smartphone

Hi there, it's Ernest from Trip Astute Ever been to the airport and wanted to use your lounge benefit, only to realize that you forgot your card? Well today, we're going to show you how to get a digital version of your priority pass

(light chiming music) If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, then you probably know that you have free Priority Pass membership, which gives you access to a network of over a thousand lounges around the world If you didn't know that, then check out our "Maximize Your Chase Sapphire Reserve Card" video, which has information on how to activate this free benefit on your account Until recently, you had to have a physical membership card when trying to use a lounge However, Priority Pass recently announced and they now support digital passes I know it seems like way overdue, but late is definitely better than never

To activate your digital pass, you first need to have your Priority Pass card since you'll need to have your membership number and expiration date You then need to go to wwwprioritypasscom/chasedmc and enter your information, and verify the CAPTCHA You'll then need to create a Priority Pass account

If you already have a Priority Pass account, you will need to set up a new one for the digital card You'll then need to download the Priority Pass app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store Once you have the app, open it up and log in with your new account From here, just click on the menu bar and select my digital card That's all it takes to get your digital Priority Pass club card

In addition, here are a couple of extra tips to keep in mind Number 1: You can link multiple accounts to the app If you're traveling with someone who has a card, you can also have their account listed in your app This is helpful when traveling as a group and not everyone has access or the ability to add their card to their mobile device Number 2: Pack your physical membership card

While you probably won't need it, it doesn't hurt to have your membership card when you travel I suspect that there will be several lounges that won't be able to scan your card and may experience a technical issue, so having your physical card as a backup is a good idea Number 3: Always ask whether you can access the lounge I've heard and read several stories of people going to the lounge, only to find a sign saying that the lounge was closed to Priority Pass members due to capacity What's interesting is that a few of these people ignored the signs and asked whether they could still get in, and from what I read, it sounds like they were still able to get in

So, I'm not saying to break the rules, but it's always worth asking the question if presented with the situation Number 4: Check reviews on the lounge Before visiting a lounge, I would suggest looking up reviews using apps like Yelp or Gate Guru While I wouldn't let a bad review deter you from visiting a lounge, you might get some insights on what you should eat or avoid while in the lounge Also, having customer reviews can help you decide if you have multiple lounge options in the same airport
